During the past 24 hours, the United States Geological Survey reported 10 earthquakes in the lower 48 states and Alaska. Including one in Missouri.
Today is National Winnie the Pooh Day because this is the birthday of Alan Alexander Miln, who goes by A. A. Miln, the English author of the books about the teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh.
Also born on this day in Harlem, Georgia in 1892 American comic actor Oliver Hardy, half of the team Laurel & Hardy, the other half being Stanley Laurel.
