Today is Fibonacci Day, in honor of the Italian mathematician Leonardo Bonacci — later known as Fibonacci, “the son of” Bonacci. Considered by some to be "the most talented Western mathematician of the Middle Ages."
Born on this day in 1963 in Evanston, Illinois American engineer and business-person Gwynne Shotwell. She is President and COO of SpaceX.
