For our moon lovers, a.k.a selenophiles, today is a new moon, also known as the dark moon, the first lunar phase

Today is also International Stout Day, the day we drink a toast to the strong and dark beers known as Stouts.

Born on this day in 1884 in County Down, Ireland, engineer, mechanic, and inventorHenry George "Harry" Ferguson,  who developed the modern agricultural tractor and its three-point linkage system, he’s the first person in Ireland to build and fly his own airplane, and he developed the first four-wheel drive Formula One car, the Ferguson P99.

Today's word ishydraulic,  Hydraulic is a, adjective that means:  “operated by the resistance offered or the pressure transmitted when a quantity of liquid (such as water or oil) is forced through a comparatively small orifice or through a tube.”
